Doctor Blades
Printco also offers a wide array of doctor blades
to fit individual systems. We stock steel, plasteel,
esterlam, plastic and mylar blades. Widths range
from 3/4" to 1 5/8", and thickness from
.0059" to .062".
The blades can be be purchased in pre-cut lengths
or rolls, and in most cases can be shipped overnight
if necessary. If the size you need doesn't fit
into the above categories, give us a call and
we'll find the size you need.
Mylar
- Sealing blade only
- Performs well on various rolls
- Inexpensive
Steel
- All purpose metering blade
- High precision doctoring on ceramic rolls
- Works well with solvent based inks
Plasteel
- All purpose doctoring blade on chrome or
ceramic rolls
- Can be interchanged with steel blades
- No corrosion with water
Plastic
- Metering blade generaly used with coating
application
- Performs well on chrome rolls
- No sharp edges or corrosion
Esterlam
- Precision doctoring on various rolls
- High performance on most applications
- No corrosion - no sharp edges
